AMIRAH is an award-winning neurodivergent singer-songwriter and 3rd Culture advocate.

Amirah is an award-winning artist, songwriter, neurodivergent fashion designer, and a third-culture advocate whose artistic inspiration is the discovery and experience of identity, unity, and belonging.

Amirah blends traditional Eastern instrumentation with contemporary pop to create cinematic East-West sound landscapes, not as a stylistic experiments, but as a reflection of lived cultural coexistence. Her sound is shaped by restraint, emotional clarity, and the quiet tension of holding multiple worlds at once, exploring what it means to belong in an increasingly divided world.

Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Amirah grew up immersed in a convergence of languages, traditions, and belief systems. That early experience became the foundation of her artistic voice and her worldview.

Initially focused on writing and composing for others, Amirah never intended to step into the spotlight. That changed when a song she wrote in response to the Christian–Muslim tensions surrounding the Kalimah Allah issue in Malaysia went viral, drawing national television and press attention. What began as a deeply personal response became a defining moment that set her on a new path.

Amirah holds a Master of Music in Independent Study from the World Music department at Northern Illinois University, following postgraduate studies in pop and world music. Her work has earned international recognition, including honors from the International Songwriting Competition and the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. She also serves as a Global Judge for the 2026 VIMA Music Awards.

Her music explores themes of displacement, love across difference, and the search for belonging. While rooted in her own story, her writing allows listeners to recognize themselves within the music. Her upcoming album is conceived as a singular artistic statement rather than a collection of songs.

Amirah is the founder of 360, a minimalist East–West fashion line inspired by travel, cultural coexistence, and third-culture identity.

“The beauty of differences gives birth to the masterpieces of love, and through the masterpieces of love lies the freedom to both worlds.” — Amirah
